The Georgia Annual Registration is a required yearly filing that keeps your business in active and compliant status with the Georgia Secretary of State. It confirms or updates key business information such as your registered agent and principal office address.
All businesses registered with the Georgia Secretary of State must file an annual registration. This includes Corporations, Limited Liability Companies, Nonprofit Corporations, Limited Partnerships, and Trust Estates.
The filing period runs January 1 through April 1 each year.
If the Annual Registration is not filed on time:
-Late fees may be assessed
-Your business may be marked non-compliant
-Continued failure to file can result in administrative dissolution by the state
Once dissolved, additional filings and fees are required to reinstate the business.
